Do you export to Asia? Can you help us? (so we can help your business)

Published 12 June 2014, from Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade

MFAT needs to hear about challenges faced by exporting manufacturing, processing and forestry companies, to help the Government decide which problems to seek to tackle in the RCEP FTA negotiation.

Help your business by completing the online survey

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is being negotiated between the ten members of ASEAN –Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam – together with China, India, Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand. This region accounted for 60% of New Zealand’s exported goods in 2013.

RCEP countries are our neighbours and include some of the world’s most significant economies. Your input would be greatly appreciated so that New Zealand negotiators can better advance and protect New Zealand's economic and commercial interests.

This open-ended survey for the manufacturing, processing and forestry exporting sectors can be completed in fifteen to twenty minutes. Or if you would like to contact MFAT directly please contact rcep@mfat.govt.nz / 04 439 8183.
